「これ、何ですか？」
母がお友達の家に招かれて行った時のことです。
ふと目にした「苺の茶器」の前で、そう尋ねたそうです。
きっと母は何も考えずに 思ったことをそのまま口にしたのでしょう。
「娘が可愛いものが好きなので。」と、またまた何も考えずに続けると、
そのお友達は「どうぞお持ちください。」と言って、その茶器を下さったのだそうです。
そして、母は素直にその茶器をいただいて帰りました。
しばらくして、母は（当時）40歳を過ぎた私のところに 嬉しそうにその茶器を持って来ました。
柔らかい紙に包んである物をひとつづつ開けて並べて行きます。
「可愛い！」と思わず言ってしまった私を見て、母は満足そうに笑っていました。
とんでもない親子ですね～～！
でもこの写真の「苺の茶器」の飾り物には それだけの「魅力」があるのだと思います。
私もご覧いただいた方に「一目ぼれ」して頂けるような作品を生み出してみたいと思っています。

”What is this ? "
It is time when mother was invited to the house of her friend.
My mother asked it about "the tea set of the strawberry design " which she saw incidentally.
Surely she must have asked the question without thinking in particular .
" My daughter likes pretty things." she said again without thinking about anything.
Then the friend of my mother said " I give your daughter this set. "
Mother received " the tea set of the strawberry design " obediently.
Mother brought the set to my house joyfully afterwards.
When I looked at the tea set, I said "How Pretty!! " though I exceeded 40 years old !
My mother smiled on seeing me in the way that she was satisfied.
Funny mother and I !!
But I guess.
This " tea set of the strawberry design " had charms only for it.
I want to make charming accessories.
I want to make the accessories that you must say , "How Pretty ! " or "It is wonderful ! "
